Where We Work
Solar Specialists Across Poole and Dorset
Every area we cover brings something different to a solar design — coastal exposure, mature tree shading, conservation constraints or older roof coverings. Here is what we look for locally.
Poole and the Harbour
Poole's housing stock ranges from Georgian and Victorian property around the Old Town and Quay to the large post-war estates at Canford Heath and Creekmoor. That mix matters for solar: older roofs often need condition work before an array goes on, while the wide, uncomplicated pitches on the estates are among the most straightforward installs we do. Properties fronting Holes Bay and the harbour at Hamworthy see more salt exposure, so we specify fixings accordingly.
Including: Poole Town Centre · Hamworthy · Oakdale · Alderney · Creekmoor · Canford Heath · Upton

The Coastal Roads
Along the Poole Bay coast, exposure is the deciding factor. Salt-laden air accelerates corrosion on poorly specified brackets, onshore wind loading affects fixing patterns, and gull activity means bird-proofing is rarely optional. Many properties here are also large detached homes with complex roofscapes, dormers and mature tree cover — the sort of roofs where panel-level optimisers earn their cost rather than a simple string layout.
Including: Sandbanks · Canford Cliffs · Branksome · Branksome Park · Penn Hill · Parkstone · Lower Parkstone · Westbourne

Broadstone, Merley and Corfe Mullen
These are leafy, established suburbs, and shading from mature trees is the most common design constraint we deal with. It is very often solvable — a revised layout, optimisers, or accepting a slightly smaller array in the right position — but it needs assessing on site across the year rather than from a satellite image taken in midwinter.
Including: Broadstone · Merley · Bearwood · Corfe Mullen · Canford Magna

Wimborne, Colehill and the Stour Valley
Wimborne Minster has a substantial conservation area and a number of listed buildings, so permitted development cannot be assumed the way it can on a modern estate. We flag anything that looks like it needs consent at survey stage. Surrounding villages bring older roof coverings, including natural slate and clay tile that need careful handling during mounting.
Including: Wimborne Minster · Colehill · Lytchett Matravers · Lytchett Minster

Ferndown, West Moors and the Northern Villages
Predominantly post-war and modern housing with generous, regular roofs — often excellent candidates for larger arrays and battery storage. Plot sizes here also make outdoor-rated battery installation and EV charger integration straightforward, which is a common combined project for us.
Including: Ferndown · West Parley · West Moors · Verwood · Ringwood

Bournemouth and Christchurch
We work throughout Bournemouth and Christchurch on both installation and repair work. There is a high volume of older solar in this area — arrays fitted a decade or more ago that are now reaching the point where inverters fail and connectors corrode, which is where a good proportion of our repair and upgrade work comes from.
Including: Bournemouth · Christchurch

Wareham, Swanage and Purbeck
Across the harbour into Purbeck, we handle installations and repairs on everything from modern estate housing at Sandford to older stone and slate property in Wareham and Swanage. Coastal exposure and conservation constraints both feature, and both are assessed on site before we design anything.
Including: Wareham · Sandford · Swanage

FAQs
Coverage — Common Questions
Do you cover my area?
We work throughout Poole and the surrounding Dorset towns and villages listed on this page, and regularly travel a little further for larger projects. If your postcode is not listed, call 01202 232 219 and we will tell you straight away whether we can help.
Is there a call-out charge for areas outside Poole?
Surveys and quotations are free across our standard coverage area. For repair call-outs further afield we will confirm any charge before we book the visit, so there are no surprises.
How quickly can you get to a solar fault?
It depends on the week and the nature of the fault, but because our teams are local to Poole we can usually attend faults within the coverage area quickly. A system that is completely off-generation is treated as a priority.
